Summary of Healthy Families

Healthy Families is a low cost comprehensive health, dental and vision coverage to children who do not have insurance today and do not qualify for no-cost Medi-Cal.

State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) was created in 1997 to provide matching federal funds to the State with an intent to cover uninsured children in families with incomes that are modest but too high to qualify for Medicaid.

7.4 Million Children are enrolled in SCHIP and recent legislation signed by our newly elected president, Barack Obama has authorized the expansion of the program with a goal to help provide coverage to 11 Million Children.

Community Outreach organizations, like Insuring Kids, LLC are hoping to help make this new goal of insuring an additional 3.6 million kids have health coverage a reality.

Applying for Coverage begins with completing a pre-qualificaton questionnaire and submitting basic application detail via our secure 256-byte encrypted process. Insuring Kids, LLC does not limit, restrict or prohibit any person from seeking assistance in completing their application.

Using Services offered through health plans that provide the actual coverage are unique to each insurance company; however, basic coverage and Summary of Benefits are the same regardless of the plan you select.
